ALJ Hospital welcomes visitors and recognizes the important role that family members and others play in providing support to patients during their hospitalization. At the same time, and in order to provide an environment that is safe and calm to all patients, ALJ Hospital has established guidelines and regulations for patient visits by their friends and family members. The hospital reserves the right to ask overnight visitors who violate hospital policies to leave the hospital premises.


Visiting hours:


Visiting hours at the hospital are generally from 5:00 PM to 10:00 on weekdays, from 1200 AM to 10:00 PM on Thursdays and 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM on Fridays.

Liberal visiting arrangements may be made for families in certain circumstances as per permission from the Duty Manager.

The staff at the Information Desk will direct visitors to different areas of the hospital and to specific patients.


Visiting regulations:


  • Children between the ages 6 and 12 may visit when accompanied by an adult
  • Children under the age of 6 are discouraged from visiting.
  • Smoking is prohibited within the hospital premises
  • Visitors in shared rooms should be considerate of both patients
  • People with colds, sore throats or any contagious disease should not visit patients
  • Visits should preferably be short
  • Visitors should maintain the hospital’s quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise
  • Visitors will be asked to leave the room during tests or treatments or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient
  • Visitors should not bring food or beverages from the patient unless approved by the doctor or nurse


Out-of-town Visitors:


Accommodations for relatives and visitors from out of town are available at nearby hotels. If your family members need to arrange accommodation s during your treatment  at ALJ Hospital, please call the Patient Relation Officer or Social Worker office for advice about convenient accommodation.
